Final Notes, Charles Wolff

On September 11, Atlanta, Georgia, and Green Creek, North Carolina, musician Charles Emerson Wolff died in Landrum, South Carolina. Though best known as a rock-and-roll drummer with such Atlanta groups as Thermos Greenwood, the Brains, and Fletcher and the Piedmonts, among others, Wolff also played traditional music, and incorporated old-time and related styles into his performances with the Lone Derangers and the Trophy Husbands. In addition to his music, Charles Wolff is remembered for his devotion to his family, and his love of animals.
